I am, but my cottage is on the other side of the lake. I get 1-5 bars of signal - about 2-3 at the cottage. I have a feeling that on the Regina Beach side that you won't get any 3G signal at all yet, except at the top of the hill.

SaskTel states that the Regina Beach tower will have 3G+ coverage in December, so it's not far away...

hey there photo jim,

I live out at regina beach and I'm interested in upgrading to a 3g phone. I'm getting mixed messages from Sasktel for their coverage out here.

Are you getting 3g coverage with your iPhone out here?

In Canada we're entitled to hand scans, but truthfully unless I have a lot of time I don't bother. Film of speed 400 or lower can take several X-ray scans without deleterious effects.

I have gotten in the habit of mailing my exposed film (and leftover unexposed film) when I'm done my trips, to save the film another pass of x-rays.

I agree that film is not dead, but it's getting really expensive to buy and process. I see you shoot film a lot, how do you travel with undeveloped film passing through xray-scan in the airport?

To my knowledge, it isn't related to that film at all, although it's hard to think that that is entirely true given the nomenclature (Plus-X, Double-X/Super-XX, Tri-X). My understanding is that Super-XX was a very silver-rich film. I know that nothing else is quite like it.

I stand corrected!

There are portions of Saskatchewan that do observe daylight time as well (Lloydminster, SK/AB is on the Alberta border and is on MST/MDT; Creighton, SK is on the Manitoba border adjacent to Flin Flon, MB and observes CDT).

Any idea how 5222 is related to the (long discontinued, at least in still film packaging) Super XX people seem to rave about?

Actually, the Navajo Nation, which spans several states including a big chunk of Arizona, does go on DST. The other reservations, and non-reservation areas of Arizona, do not.

Wonderful memories. I love it when music inspires a trip into the recesses of my mind where events and happenings are stored. They all need to be let out for air once in a while and music tends to initiate the airing of a memory or two for me as well.
