Spring has sprung?

Sunday, March 27th, 2011

The grass certainly isn’t riz.

The yard is still full of snow despite the efforts of the calendar publishers to convince me of spring’s arrival.

The temperatures are still cool but when the sun shines, snow does melt, if slowly. I suppose that it’s a good sign.

Spring will inevitably come…

We’re starting to plan our Nova Scotia trip for June. I’ll be away twice before then, most likely (Florida and New Brunswick appear on the itinerary).

Vacation planning

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

In a little over a month we’re going to be heading to Atlantic Canada for round two of exploring this terrific part of the world.  Round one was Newfoundland (highly recommended!)… this round will be New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

(Lest you wonder about poor Nova Scotia, I have meetings to attend there in a little over a year, so I’m going to happily allow myself to be flown there and be opportunistic about being there.  Two weeks, maybe three, methinks!)

It’s hard to decide exactly how to allocate the time.  We have ten days there (after a couple of days in Niagara Falls; I’m already in Toronto for meetings that week).  Right now we’re thinking of three nights in Saint John, three in Moncton, two in Charlottetown and one in Fredericton.  We’re flying in and out of Saint John (thanks, Air Canada, for the seat sale!).

We’re gone in a little over a month, so if you have suggestions, I’m all ears!
